Jim Zub is a guy who isn't afraid to spread his wings—SKULLKICKERS is a wry look at D&D-inflected fantasy, WAYWARD takes Japanese folklore for a spin, and the upcoming GLITTERBOMB tackles the dreams Hollywood sells us. He's also worn a lot of hats in the creative world, and shares his journey from aspiring creator to professional. Lastly, Jim took a six-week trip to Japan, and talks about the amazing experiences he had there.
Tommaso's work is always interesting. DARK CORRIDOR is a crime comic with a bright palette, a revenge-fueled plot, and some of the sharpest cartooning you'll see this year. SHE WOLF, debuting June 22, gives us teenage werewolves and teenaged drama all in the same package—what would you do if your older sister was a werewolf? Finally, Tommaso enjoys the works of John Carpenter, especially those he saw as a too-young kid.
Limbo is a funky comic—a blend of the occult, detective fiction, and retro culture. Caspar Wijngaard and Dan Watters avoid the usual supernatural detective and video game tropes in favor of interpolating their influences in creatively inventive ways. Wijngaard is a big fan of '80s b-movies and old video games, too, and likes looking back on those days.
